Hermes v0.15 (Velocity Release) · May 2026

This is a live walkthrough of Hermes Agent v0.15. The new Kanban setup card that detects your install. The Ultracode tab with a clean new mission format. The updated MCP catalogue. I · what just happened

Hermes v0.15 just dropped — the Velocity Release.

Hermes is the free AI agent that runs jobs inside the Agent Operating System. The team just shipped v0.15 — the Velocity Release.

Three big things changed. The Kanban now has a smart setup card that knows whether you're already installed. The Ultracode tab has a clean new mission format. The MCP catalogue has been refreshed with new tools you can plug in.

Then there's the part I want you to see most: a real job I tried in v0.14 that flat-out could not finish. Same job, v0.15, one click — done.

I'm going to walk you through every new feature live in my dashboard. Then we'll run the demo. Companion guide to the wider Velocity Release breakdown if you want the high-level story first.

II · my story · why this matters

I was you. Then I got Hermes v0.15 wired in.

Before

Running Hermes used to feel like setup roulette.

Open the dashboard. Forget if I'd already installed it. Stare at a blank Kanban wondering what I was meant to do first.

Pick a mission and rewrite it from scratch every time, because the format was clunky.

Hit a job that needed three tools my MCP catalogue didn't have yet.

End up half-done at midnight, with one stuck job and three browser tabs.

Then Hermes v0.15 changed all of that.

After

Now I open the Kanban and it knows whether I'm set up. It tells me the next step in plain words.

I click into Ultracode and the new mission format is one card, one job, one go.

The MCP catalogue is full of the tools I need, already vetted.

The job that broke last week ran end-to-end this morning. One click. No babysitting.

You can have this too. Same release. Same dashboard. Same path.

III · the receipts

Real people. Real wins. Inside the Boardroom right now.

Here's what's already happened for members running the Agent Operating System — agency owners, ecom founders, course creators, solo operators. Different shops. Same result: they stopped wrestling setup and started shipping work.

Commit to transitioning today. Not tomorrow.

You've just seen what's happening for real members running this stack.

The next few minutes show you exactly how Hermes v0.15 works — every new piece, live in the dashboard.

So here's the deal.

Promise yourself one thing right now: you'll finish this guide, and you'll run your first v0.15 mission before you sleep tonight. Just one mission. Because the moment you make the switch from "old setup" to v0.15 inside the Agent Operating System, the way you work with AI changes for good. You stop fighting tools. You start watching them do the job.

The people sitting still are about to be left behind by folks running v0.15 today.

The people who act now are the ones who'll look back in six months and say "that was the moment."

Be one of those people.

Commit to the transition. Commit to acting today. This changes how you work — for good.

IV · old way vs new way

Old Hermes vs Hermes v0.15

Old way
~ half a day of setup
  • Open dashboard, forget if Hermes is even installed — ~10 min of poking around
  • Stare at a blank Kanban with no idea what to do first — ~15 min
  • Rewrite each mission from scratch in a clunky old form — ~20 min per mission
  • Hunt for the right MCP tool in a half-empty catalogue — ~30 min
  • Try the big job — watch it fail halfway and lose progress — hours wasted
  • Quit, come back tomorrow, start over — half a day gone
  • Result: tired, half-done, and not sure what worked — ~4 hrs
New way
~ one click
  • Open the Kanban — the setup card already knows you're installed — instant
  • Read the one clear next step it shows you — ~30 seconds
  • Click into Ultracode — pick a mission from the clean new format — ~1 min
  • Drop in any MCP tool you need from the refreshed catalogue — built in, $0
  • Hit go on the big job — it runs end-to-end — one session
  • Watch it finish the work that was impossible last week — done
  • Result: a real, finished job, saved in your Workspace — minutes
"Sounds like I need to re-learn the whole tool."

You don't. v0.15 is built around the parts you already know. The Kanban is the same Kanban — there's just a smart card on top now. The mission format is cleaner, not different. If you used v0.14, you're up to speed in five minutes.

— we add this stuff the day it ships —

Every Hermes update goes straight into the Agent Operating System inside the AI Profit Boardroom — the day it ships. v0.15 came out today. It's already added. You never fall behind. You just open your dashboard and it's right there.

V · the framework

The Goldie Velocity Tour

This is how I walk people through Hermes v0.15. Four stops. Each one is a real piece of the dashboard you can poke at right now. Each one tells you what you gain, not what the feature does.

A glowing tour map of the Hermes v0.15 dashboard — Kanban setup card, Ultracode tab, MCP catalogue, and the live demo room — connected by golden light
i.

Stop One — the Smart Kanban

You open Hermes and the dashboard tells you exactly where you stand. No more guessing if you're set up. No more blank board.

ii.

Stop Two — Ultracode missions

The Ultracode tab now has a clean mission format. One card. One job. You pick or write a mission and hit go — clean inputs, clean output.

iii.

Stop Three — the new MCP catalogue

The plug-in tool library got a refresh. More tools, better sorted, ready to drop straight into a mission. You stop hunting and start building.

iv.

Stop Four — the impossible job

The live demo. One job that broke in v0.14. Same job, one click, runs end-to-end in v0.15. The moment you see why this release matters.

VI · stop one of the tour

The Kanban now knows if you're set up

Open Hermes v0.15 and look at the top of the Kanban. There's a new card sitting there — the setup card.

Here's the difference. In v0.14, you opened the Kanban and got a blank board. You had to remember if Hermes was actually installed and connected. You had to remember the first thing to click. Most people stalled right there.

In v0.15, that card looks at your setup and tells you, in plain words, exactly what's going on. "You're installed. Here's your first mission." Or, "You're not connected yet — click here." It's like having a friendly guide at the top of the page who can see your dashboard.

Walk through it like this: open Hermes, look at the top of the Kanban, read the one sentence on the setup card, and do whatever it says next. That's it.

"I always get lost on the first screen of a new tool."

That's the exact reason this card exists. You don't have to guess. The card reads your install status and tells you the one next step. Members who never opened Hermes before are running their first mission in minutes because of this card alone.

VII · stop two of the tour

The Ultracode tab — the new mission format

Click into the Ultracode tab. This is where you fire the big jobs — the ones that need a swarm of agents.

The old mission format was a wall of small boxes — title, prompt, settings, tools, model, mode. You had to fill every field every time. Most people gave up halfway.

The new format is one clean card. A short title. A plain-English description of what you want done. A few smart defaults the system fills in for you. That's the whole form. You can still tweak the advanced stuff if you want — but you don't have to.

Try it like this: click Ultracode, hit "New mission," type one sentence about what you want done, press go. The job kicks off. You watch it on the Kanban.

"I never know what to write in the mission box."

You don't have to invent it. v0.15 ships with ready-made mission templates you can click — write a blog post, build a landing page, audit a site, set up a campaign. Pick the one closest to your job. Edit one line. Press go.

VIII · stop three of the tour

The refreshed MCP catalogue

Open the MCP catalogue in v0.15. This is the library of plug-in tools your Hermes agents can use — search the web, read your Obsidian vault, post to social, pull from a sheet, send an email, anything.

In v0.14, the catalogue was thin. You'd want a tool and it wouldn't be there. You'd go find one on your own, wire it in by hand, and pray it worked.

In v0.15, the catalogue is fuller, better sorted, and the tools are vetted. You scroll, you find what you need, you click "add to mission." Hermes wires it in for you.

Walk through it like this: open the catalogue, search for the kind of tool you want (say, "research"), click add. The next mission you run can use it. Done.

"I have no idea which MCP tools I need."

You don't have to know up front. The catalogue groups tools by job — research, writing, SEO, ecom, ops, social. Pick the job, see the recommended tools, add the ones that match. It's like a shop, not a tech manual.

IX · stop four of the tour · the wow moment

The job that was impossible in v0.14

Now the demo. The whole reason I wanted to show you v0.15 live.

I gave Hermes one job that combines every new piece of v0.15: research a topic, write a long-form post, audit it, publish it, and log the job in my workspace — all in one mission. Five different jobs, one click.

In v0.14, this broke halfway. Always. The mission would get stuck somewhere in the middle, the tools wouldn't chain, the audit step would fail. I'd come back to a half-done job.

In v0.15, I picked the mission template, dropped in the new MCP tools from the refreshed catalogue, hit go, and walked away.

When I came back, the post was written, audited, published, and the run was logged in the Workspace. End-to-end. One click. The impossible job, done.

This is the moment that made me record this guide. It's the first Hermes release where the big, chained jobs actually finish on their own.

"What if the run breaks halfway again?"

That's the whole point of the Velocity release. The fixes under the hood are what stopped runs breaking halfway. And inside the Agent Operating System, every mission auto-saves as it goes — so even if something does fall over, you don't lose what was built.

— don't fall behind —

Hermes ships an update almost every week now. Inside the AI Profit Boardroom, we add every release to the Agent Operating System for you — so you're always running the newest version, not last month's. v0.15 just came out. It's already in.

X · why it's powerful inside the Agent Operating System

Why Hermes v0.15 hits harder inside the Agent Operating System

You can run Hermes v0.15 on its own. It's free. But it gets a lot more powerful inside the Agent Operating System. Here's why, in plain words:

"Hermes v0.15 on its own is a strong free agent. Hermes v0.15 inside the Agent Operating System is a finished job, every time."

XI · should you use it?

My honest take

If you've never run Hermes before, v0.15 is the right place to start. The smart Kanban card holds your hand. The clean mission format makes the first job easy. The refreshed MCP catalogue has the tools you'll actually want.

If you were on v0.14 and got stuck, update today. The jobs that used to break halfway run end-to-end now. That's the whole headline.

And here's the thing worth sitting with: the people who learn to run agents now, while the tools are this new, are going to be way ahead when everyone else catches up. Every mission you run with v0.15 makes you better at running the next one. The skill compounds.

Most people will read about v0.15, think "neat," and keep doing things the old way. Don't be most people.
