Anthropic just gave every paid plan four more days with Claude Fable 5 — their most powerful model yet. Here's exactly what to do with the window, in three moves.
counting down to the end of July 12 — the last day of extended access
This is the official word from Claude's account: access to Claude Fable 5 now runs on all paid plans through July 12. Fable 5 was a limited-time preview — a lot of people expected it to disappear this week. Instead, you just got four more days with the strongest Claude model there's ever been. The clock above is real.
Fable 5 is Anthropic's new top model — the first in their Claude 5 family. On the benchmarks I run myself, it's the strongest builder I've ever pointed at real work.
It was supposed to be a short preview. Now every paid Claude plan keeps it through July 12.
Here's the thing about windows like this: most people use them to chat. The smart move is to use them to build things that keep working after the window closes. Systems outlive access.
Any paid plan has it through July 12. In Claude Code it's the model named claude-fable-5. If you're on it, everything below applies to you.
An Agent OS is one dashboard that connects your AI tools (Claude, your CLIs, your local models) with one shared memory. Fable 5 can build the whole thing for you in an afternoon — I've documented the exact build in my Build Your Own Agent OS guide. This is the highest-value thing to point a frontier model at, because the OS keeps working with every model that comes after.
Write down each one as steps: "find leads → check the domain → write the email → send." Ten minutes with a notepad. That list is your automation backlog.
Don't ask Fable 5 to "automate my business." Feed it ONE step: "write me the script that checks the domain." Test it. Then the next step. Small steps ship; big asks stall. By July 12 you want each workflow running end-to-end without you.
A frontier model reads everything you send it, and you pay in tokens for every word. My Caveman Command Engine guide shows the exact setup that cut my Claude output by 37% — same brain, smaller mouth. That's the difference between hitting your limit on day 2 and cruising through the deadline.
Run every automation you built. Whatever breaks, Fable 5 fixes better than any model you'll have on July 13. Use the giant brain for the hard debugging while it's here.
The Agent OS, the automations, the token setup — they all run on whatever model you have next. The window closes on the model, not on the systems it built you.
So when someone asks "what's the actual play here?" — it's one sentence: use the four days of Fable 5 to build systems that don't need Fable 5.
The extension is for paid plans, so the Fable 5 part needs one — even the cheapest tier gets it through July 12, and four days of the best model is the best reason there's ever been to try a month. But Moves 1–3 apply to you regardless: the Agent OS runs on free local models too, and the workflow audit costs a notepad. Build the system with the model you have.
Wrong: "Four days isn't enough time to build anything real."
Right: Fable 5 builds faster than any model before it. I've watched it stand up working systems in an afternoon — the Agent OS build is one session, not one month. Four days is a lot of afternoons.
Wrong: "I'll just wait — the next model will be even better."
Right: Probably true, and it doesn't matter. Systems you build now work with every future model. Waiting gets you nothing; building gets you a head start that compounds. The people who built during the last window are four days of automation ahead of you already.
Wrong: "I'll hit my token limit in a day, so why bother."
Right: That's exactly what the token minimization playbook fixes. Cut the output tokens by a third and your same plan lasts three times as long. Move 3 exists so Moves 1 and 2 don't get cut short.

Read the 158-page wins doc →An Agent OS is one dashboard where all your AI tools live together: Claude, your other CLIs, free local models, your notes and memory — one place, one shared context.
I run my whole business through mine. Every agent in it knows my goals, my clients, and my voice, because they all read the same memory.
Why this is Move 1: it's the hardest build on the list, and you currently have the strongest builder that's ever existed sitting in your Claude plan. Point the big brain at the big build. The step-by-step is in my Build Your Own Agent OS guide, and Fable 5 can do most of it for you — you mostly paste, run, and watch.

My actual Agent OS — every agent, coder tab, and workflow in one dashboard. Fable 5 built several of these panels in single sessions this week.
If you can paste a command and click run, you can do this. The whole point of doing it THIS week is that Fable 5 writes the code, explains what it did, and fixes its own errors when you paste them back. You're the project manager, not the programmer.
Everything in this plan — the Agent OS, the workflow automations, the token playbook — is one piece of the system I run my seven-figure business on. Inside the AI Profit Boardroom, you don't build it from scratch. You install mine. Join and you walk out with:
You're not buying a tool. You're skipping the year of assembly.
Get the Agent OS →Here's the audit that takes ten minutes and pays for years. Write down every workflow you do by hand. Then break each one into its individual steps.
"Post content" isn't a step. "Pull this week's video transcript → turn it into a post → add the image → schedule it" — those are steps. Fable 5 automates steps, brilliantly. It struggles with vague wishes.
The rule for the window: one step, one test, then the next step. A workflow automated step-by-step actually ships. A "please automate everything" prompt gives you a demo that breaks on Tuesday.
The ones you do every single week, that follow the same steps every time, and that don't need your taste — reporting, research, formatting, publishing, follow-ups. Anything you could hand a smart assistant with a checklist, hand to an agent instead. Keep the judgment calls; automate the checklist.
Here's the trap in every "extended access" window: everyone burns their usage limit in the first two days, then watches the rest of the window from the bench.
Tokens are just the words the model reads and writes — about 4 characters each — and every plan has a ceiling. The fix isn't typing less. It's making every reply smaller without making it dumber.
That's what my Caveman Command Engine setup does: one install, and Claude answers with everything you need and nothing you don't. Same brain, smaller mouth. On my own machine it cut output tokens by 37% — measured, not guessed.
The 37% is my measured number from the Caveman setup. The third bar adds the other Agent OS trick: routing everyday work to free local models so Fable 5 only sees the hard problems.
No — that's the biggest myth about it. The Agent OS runs the everyday 90% on free local models (on your own machine, nothing leaves it), free APIs slot in for more, and the heavyweight work drives the CLIs you already pay for — your Claude subscription includes Claude Code, and the OS plugs straight into it. You're not paying twice; you're using what you already own, with a token diet on top. And inside the AI Profit Boardroom there are full token-optimisation tutorials, so usage stops being a worry at all.
Everything keeps running. The Agent OS doesn't care which model powers it — on July 13 it runs on Opus, Sonnet, your local models, whatever you have. The automations you built are plain scripts and agents; they outlive any single model. That's exactly why building beats chatting this week.

Systems built this week outlive the model that built them.
One dashboard, one memory, every tool — the highest-value build to point Fable 5 at.
List your workflows, break them into steps, ship one step at a time.
The 37% playbook keeps you building on day 4 while everyone else sits at their limit.
July 13 changes the model, not your machine. The automations keep running.
This guide gives you the whole plan — the Agent OS build, the workflow audit, the token diet. You could absolutely spend your four days assembling it yourself, and Fable 5 will help.
But here's the honest split. Readers bookmark this page, chat with Fable 5 for four days, and on July 13 have some great conversations to show for it. Operators join the Boardroom, install the finished Agent OS this week while the best model ever released handles the hard parts, and on July 13 their workflows run without them.
Inside: the full member pack, the token playbooks, 5 live calls a week to get unblocked, 1,000+ prebuilt agents, and 3,900+ founders across 38 countries doing exactly this — with 258 documented wins.
Decide which one you are tonight.
