I ────── The Competitor Radar Engine™
New in Agent OS — Hermes tab · July 2026

The Competitor Radar Engine™ + Hermes Astros.

A 24/7 YouTube watcher that reads every competitor in your niche — and writes your titles while you sleep.

Hermes, fully clothed in a long flowing chiton and cloak, drawn as a golden star constellation, watching over a grid of glowing video screens with a sweeping beam of starlight

This is Hermes Astros. It lives in the Hermes tab of my Agent OS, right next to the Oracle. Every 4 hours it scans the freshest uploads from my competitors' channels and my keyword watchlist on YouTube. Then it hands me the 6 hottest content opportunities — each with 5 ready titles, the SEO keyword, 3 angles and a hook. One click sends any of them to the Video agent, NotebookLM, or straight out as SEO articles.

III ────── My story · why this matters

I was you. Then I built the Competitor Radar Engine.

Before

Every morning I'd doom-scroll YouTube looking for what to make next.

I'd open ten competitor channels by hand, one by one.

I'd screenshot titles into a notes file and forget where I put them.

I'd sit staring at a blank title field for twenty minutes.

And the worst part — the trends I did catch were already a day old.

Then I built Hermes Astros, and the whole job disappeared.

After

Now a watcher scans my whole niche every 4 hours, all night, all day.

I wake up to 6 ranked topics with the receipts attached — who posted it, the views, how fresh it is.

Every topic comes with 5 titles I can use as-is.

One click turns any of them into a video, a research notebook, or SEO articles.

And every sweep is logged into my Obsidian vault automatically.

You can have this too. Same tools. Same path.

IV ────── The receipts

Real people. Real wins. Inside the Boardroom right now.

Here's who's already running this stack — agency owners, ecom founders, course creators, solo operators. Different businesses. Same result.

38 Countries · live members
163k X / Twitter followers
29k+ Udemy students

I'm not going to paste invented quotes here. The wins are real and written by the members themselves — agency owners, ecom founders, course creators, solo operators across 38 countries. Read them in their own words.

Commit to transitioning today. Not tomorrow.

You've seen the proof above. Real numbers. Real system, live on my machine right now.

The next ten minutes show exactly how the Competitor Radar Engine works and how to run it yourself.

So here's the deal.

If you're reading this — promise yourself one thing right now. You're going to finish this guide AND set up one piece of it before you sleep tonight. Just one piece. Because the moment your content ideas start coming from a 24/7 scanner instead of a blank page, everything about your channel changes.

The people sitting still are getting passed. The people implementing today are the ones who'll look back in six months and say "that was the moment."

Be one of those people.

Commit to the transition. Commit to taking action today. This changes everything about your workflow.

VI ────── The framework

The Competitor Radar Engine™.

Four layers. Each one removes a job you're doing by hand right now.

i.

The Watchlist

You stop hunting for competitors — it finds them. Astros tracks your niche keywords, and every sweep it auto-discovers the channels winning right now and adds them to the list.

ii.

The Sweep

You stop checking YouTube — it checks for you. Every 4 hours, 24/7, it reads the freshest uploads from every tracked channel and keyword. My first sweep read 63 videos in 61 seconds.

iii.

The Titles

You stop staring at a blank field — it writes them. Each of the 6 hottest topics comes with 5 ready titles pattern-matched to what's pulling views in your niche today, plus the SEO keyword, 3 angles and a hook.

iv.

The Handoff

You stop copy-pasting ideas — it ships them. One click sends any topic to the Video agent (prefilled), into a NotebookLM notebook (with the competitor video loaded as a source), or out as SEO articles on your sites.

Competitor channels Keyword watchlist The Sweep every 4h · 24/7 Hermes reads it 63 videos → 6 topics ranked by heat Your titles 5 per topic · keyword angles · hook → video · notebook · SEO

VII ────── Old way vs new way

Old way vs new way.

Old way ~2 hrs a day, still late
  • Doom-scroll the YouTube home feed hoping to spot a trend
  • Open 10 competitor channels by hand, one by one
  • Guess which videos are actually moving — no velocity data
  • Screenshot titles into a notes file you'll never find again
  • Stare at a blank title field for 20 minutes per video
  • Catch the trend a day late, after the wave has passed
New way ~0 min — it runs itself
  • Astros scans every tracked channel + keyword every 4 hours
  • New competitors get discovered and added automatically
  • 6 topics ranked by heat, each with real views + freshness receipts
  • 5 ready titles per topic, pattern-matched to what's winning now
  • One click → Video agent, NotebookLM, or SEO articles
  • Every sweep logged to Obsidian — a growing trend archive
VIII ────── The first sweep

61 seconds in, it found a 28,786-view wave I hadn't seen.

Let me show you the very first scan it ever ran. This is real.

It read 63 fresh videos across 9 niche keywords. Top of the list: Nate Herk's video "How Claude is Creating a New Generation of Millionaires" — 28,786 views in 19 hours. Astros flagged the topic, explained why it's moving, and handed me these five titles ready to go:

The Hermes Astros tab live — a deep-space star map dome with the topics as glowing constellation stars, and star dossier cards below showing magnitude, competitor signals and ready titles

The real tab, live — the star map dome with every topic as a clickable star, and the dossiers below: “Claude Code money-making automation loops”, magnitude 96, with the competitor receipt.

“Claude's Millionaire Loop (Build This Today)”. “I Built a Claude Money Machine in 24 Hours”. “Steal My Claude Automation Income System”. Each one under 55 characters. Each one pattern-matched to what's actually pulling views in the niche today. And under them: the SEO keyword to target, three angles, and an opening hook.

1 sweep 61 seconds 63 fresh videos read 6 topics ranked by heat 4 competitors discovered 30 ready titles + keywords · angles · hooks
The real numbers from sweep #1 — one 61-second scan became 30 usable titles with receipts.
"Won't AI titles just be generic clickbait?"

No — because Astros doesn't invent from nothing. It pattern-matches against the exact titles pulling views in YOUR niche in the last few days, with the view counts and ages attached as receipts. You see the competitor video it learned from, right on the card. If the receipt is weak, skip the topic.

IX ────── The watchlist

It finds your competitors for you.

I gave it zero channels to start. Just nine keywords — claude code, ai agents, ai automation, cursor ai, ai seo, and a few more. One sweep later it had found and started tracking four competitor channels on its own: Nate Herk, Chase AI, Austin Marchese, Youri van Hofwegen. Every future sweep, it keeps hunting. You can open the watchlist any time — add a keyword, drop a channel, one click each.

This is the part the Oracle taught me. My Hermes Oracle watches X and I never miss a story now. Astros does the same job for YouTube — except YouTube is where my business actually lives.

"I'm not technical. Can I actually run this?"

If you can click a tab, you can run this. It lives inside the Agent OS dashboard — one button says "Scan the skies", and everything else is automatic. Members who'd never opened a terminal run the Agent OS every day. The full setup comes as a zip with a walkthrough.

X ────── The 24/7 loop

It runs while you sleep. Literally.

A tiny scheduler on my Mac fires Astros every 4 hours — 6 sweeps a day, no clicks. Each sweep writes its topics into my Obsidian vault as a dated log. So the vault becomes a trend archive: what was hot, when it broke, which titles I had ready. When I sit down to record, the research phase of my day is already done.

Scan the skies Rank by heat Write the titles Log to Obsidian sleep 4h → repeat
The 24/7 loop — scan → rank → titles → vault log → 4-hour sleep → scan again. Six sweeps a day, forever.
"Isn't checking every 4 hours overkill?"

Nate Herk's video did 28,786 views in 19 HOURS. If you check YouTube on Sundays, that wave rose and broke while you weren't looking. Velocity is the whole game — a topic that's 19 hours old is catchable, a topic that's 5 days old is somebody else's win.

XI ────── The handoffs

From topic to content in one click.

Every topic card has three buttons. This is where Astros stops being research and starts being production.

🎬 Video agent. Click it and the Video Director opens with the title, angle and hook already filled in. The Director researches the topic, writes the script, and builds the video — avatar, voiceover, b-roll, the lot.

📓 NotebookLM. Click it and Astros creates a notebook named after the topic, with the competitor's video already loaded in as a source. Deep-dive research, video overviews, podcast-style breakdowns — all grounded in what's actually winning.

🌐 SEO content. Click it and the topic goes out as unique SEO articles on my WordPress sites — written, published, and submitted for indexing. Same engine my Oracle uses. One trend, multiple surfaces.

One topic card titles · keyword · hook 🎬 Video agent — script → avatar → render topic + angle + hook prefilled 📓 NotebookLM — notebook auto-created competitor video loaded as source 🌐 SEO content — articles on your sites written · published · indexed
One topic, three one-click exits — video, research notebook, or published SEO articles.
"Will this work for my niche? I'm not in AI."

The watchlist is just keywords and channels — yours, not mine. Ecom, fitness, finance, coaching, local business: swap the nine seed keywords and the engine hunts YOUR competitors instead. The scanner doesn't care what you sell. It cares what's moving.

XII ────── The engine tiers

Runs on your Google API — or on nothing at all.

Here's the part that surprised me when I built it: it works with zero API keys.

Astros has three engines and picks the best one available. Tier one is your own Google API — a one-time YouTube approval on your Google account, the same way my Search Console research works. Tier two is a plain YouTube API key if you have one. And tier three needs nothing: it reads public channel feeds and search results directly. My first sweep — the one that found the 28K-view wave — ran entirely on tier three. Free.

Tier 1 · your Google API one-time YouTube approval richest data Tier 2 · API key plain YouTube Data key drop-in env var Tier 3 · no key at all public feeds + search scan Hermes · works today auto-failover — if a tier is missing, the next one takes over. The scan never stops.
Three engines, one scanner — it always finds a way to read YouTube, keys or no keys.
"Doesn't running Agent OS burn a fortune in tokens?"

No — that's the biggest myth about it. Agent OS runs the everyday 90% on a free local model (on your own machine, nothing leaving it), free APIs slot in for more, and for the frontier work it drives the CLIs you already pay for — your Claude subscription already includes the Claude CLI, and Agent OS plugs straight into it, so you're not paying twice. Astros itself scanned YouTube on the keyless tier — $0. And inside the AI Profit Boardroom there are full token-optimisation tutorials, so you cut usage to the bone and never think about it again.

XIV ────── Three beliefs to drop

What's holding you back.

Wrong: "I know my niche. I don't need a scanner watching it."

Right: Nate Herk pulled 28,786 views in 19 hours while I was doing other things. Velocity is invisible without a watcher — you can't see a wave forming by checking the shore twice a week.

Wrong: "Title generators write generic clickbait."

Right: Generic comes from generating in a vacuum. Astros writes from the receipts — the exact titles winning in your niche in the last 48 hours, with views and ages attached. Pattern-matched beats invented, every time.

Wrong: "I'll batch my competitor research on Sundays."

Right: A trend that broke Tuesday is somebody else's video by Sunday. The channels winning right now ride waves inside the first day. Every-4-hours is the only cadence that catches them — and it costs you zero minutes.

Don't take my word for it

XV ────── The SOP

Run it yourself — 8 steps.

Open the Hermes tab in Agent OS and click "Hermes Astros" — it sits right next to the Oracle.

Seed your keywords. Open the Watchlist and add 5–10 phrases your buyers actually search. Leave channels empty — it finds them.

Hit "Scan the skies." First sweep takes about a minute. Watch the constellation fill with topic stars.

Read the receipts. Every topic shows the competitor video, its views, and how fresh it is. Trust the ones with fast velocity.

Copy a title. Each topic has 5 — every one under 55 characters, pattern-matched to what's winning now.

Pick a handoff. Video agent for a video, NotebookLM for research, SEO content for articles. One click each.

Let the timer run. It re-scans every 4 hours on its own and logs every sweep to your Obsidian vault.

Optional — plug in your Google API. One browser approval upgrades the engine to tier one. The keyless tier works fine until you do.

XVI ────── Recap

What you gain.

You stopped hunting. The watchlist finds and tracks your competitors automatically, sweep after sweep.
You stopped checking. Six scans a day, 24/7 — the research phase of your content day is already done when you wake up.
You stopped guessing. Every topic carries receipts: who posted, real views, real freshness. Heat you can verify.
You stopped staring at blank fields. Thirty ready titles a sweep, pattern-matched to what's actually winning.
You stopped copy-pasting. One click sends a topic to the Video agent, NotebookLM, or out as SEO articles.
You stopped losing the trail. Every sweep logs to Obsidian — a permanent archive of what broke and when.
You stopped paying for research tools. The keyless engine reads YouTube for $0 — your Google API is an upgrade, not a requirement.
You caught the wave early. A 19-hour-old trend is yours now, not somebody else's Sunday discovery.
"Your competitors post. The stars move. Astros is already watching."
Your move

Six months from now, this is normal.

The people who wire in a 24/7 competitor watcher today will look back in six months at a channel that never misses a wave — while everyone else is still doom-scrolling for ideas. The Agent OS gives you Astros, the Oracle, the Video Director, the Kanban teams, the memory vault, every CLI you already pay for and the free local models that keep costs at zero — one dashboard, one zip file, with coaching calls where we set it up together, step by step.
