Hark Pro Review: My Score, My Tests, And Where It Fits In An Agent OS

By Julian Goldie · 9 October 2026 · agentos.guide

A glowing phone showing a calm personal agent dashboard beside a larger multi-lane Agent OS control panel, with a gold star rating floating between them

My Hark Pro review score is 4 out of 5, because it is the easiest personal AI agent I have tested and it genuinely does jobs on its own cloud computer.

Hark Pro is a personal agent from Hark Labs that reads your email, remembers your preferences and acts for you, and every feature is free.

It loses a point because it acts on real accounts, it does not talk back, and Hark has not named the model behind it.

Below are my test results, the scorecard, the plan value, the terms I read, and exactly which lane of an Agent OS it deserves.

My Hark Pro review verdict for Agent OS users

Here is the short answer before the detail.

QuestionMy answer
What is Hark Pro?It is a personal AI agent from Hark Labs that reads your email, remembers you and does tasks on its own cloud computer.
Who runs it?Brett Adcock runs Hark Labs, and he also founded Figure.
What does it cost?It is free with every feature, Pro² is $20 a month for 2x usage, and Pro³ is $100 a month for 10x usage.
Where does it run?It runs on the web and in the Hark Pro apps for iOS and Android.
My scoreI give it 4 out of 5.
Agent OS roleIt earns a place as the personal lane, but it does not replace the agents you run for work.

I wrote a separate Hark AI agent quick-start that covers the setup steps, and there is a plain Hark Pro explainer for first-time users.

This page is the review, which means the score, the evidence and the honest limits.

How I reviewed Hark Pro

I signed up on the free plan in launch week and connected my real Gmail.

Then I gave it the jobs I would actually hand to a personal agent, on camera.

After that I read Hark's pricing page, terms and privacy policy, because an agent that can spend money needs its small print reviewed too.

I judged it the way I judge any new tool for my Agent OS.

Hark Pro review test results

These are the six tests behind my score.

TestWhat happenedGrade
OnboardingIt asked me to connect email first, showed my details and asked what it could take off my plate.A
Restaurant bookingIt understood my typo'd "6pm, two people" and started booking on its own computer until I said stop.A-
PanelsIt asked whether productivity meant meeting hours versus focus time or a to-do list, and offered ClickUp or Asana.A
Proactive inboxIt proposed action items that I could accept with a yes or a no.B+
Prep my dayIt built my itinerary from my calendar and inbox.A
VoiceIt took voice input but replied in text only.C

The restaurant test is the one that matters most.

I typed, "Book an Italian restaurant for Wednesday next week."

It asked how many people and what time, and it understood my typo'd reply without any fuss.

Then it opened its own computer screen and started booking one of my favourite restaurants.

I told it to stop before it completed, because I did not want a real booking for a demo.

That is the behaviour of an agent, not a chatbot, and it is why approvals matter so much.

The onboarding was also easier than Grok Bot, because connected apps work directly inside Hark's own computer.

With Grok Bot I often had to log in again through its computer before it could reach my screen.

Prep my day gave the clearest picture of the proactive side.

My example said, "Your inbox is clean. Do you want me to pull in the sales numbers before your team sales meeting at 4 p.m.?"

That is a morning briefing agent that most people would spend hours building themselves.

Which Agent OS lanes Hark Pro earns

An Agent OS is the set of agents, tools, memory and dashboards that run your work for you.

I think about every new agent in lanes, because no single agent should do everything.

Agent OS laneDoes Hark Pro earn it?Why
Personal adminYes, it does.Bookings, bills, trips and your own inbox are exactly what it was built for.
Morning briefingYes, it does.Prep my day builds your itinerary from calendar and inbox without any setup.
Inbox triageYes, with care. The proactive inbox proposes actions, but every yes is an instruction.
Client and content workNo, it does not.You cannot choose its model, and work memory belongs in tools you own.
Building softwareNo, it does not. That lane belongs to coding agents that write and ship code.
Spending moneyOnly with confirmation on.Hark's terms say a confirmed transaction is authorised and standing permissions are possible.

Hark Pro is outstanding in the personal lane.

It is the wrong tool for client work, because you cannot pick its model and Hark has not said which model runs the main assistant.

So my setup would be Hark Pro for my own life admin and my Agent OS for client work, content and builds.

The two can run side by side without either one needing to know about the other.

The features that earned the score

Every feature I saw is on the free plan.

Hark's own site also says Panels can connect to services such as Strava, Spotify and Venmo.

The Hark Pro review scorecard

CriterionScore out of 10Reason
Setup9It is the easiest onboarding I have had on any agent.
Getting jobs done8It really uses its own computer to act.
Proactiveness9It suggests work before you ask.
Control7Approvals exist, but standing permissions are easy to over-grant.
Value9Every feature is on the free plan.
Transparency5Hark has not named the model behind the main assistant.
Fit inside an Agent OS7It is excellent for one lane and wrong for the others.
Overall8, or 4 out of 5It is the best first personal agent I have tried.

I rounded the overall score down rather than up, because an agent that can touch your wallet has to earn trust over time.

Is Hark Pro worth paying for?

Hark's pricing page says every plan includes every feature, and upgrading only raises usage.

PlanPriceUsageAgent OS verdict
Free$0It gives you base usage with every feature and no ads.It is all you need while Hark Pro proves itself in the personal lane.
Pro²$20 a monthIt gives you 2x more usage. It is worth it once your morning briefing and inbox triage hit the cap.
Pro³$100 a monthIt gives you 10x more usage. It only makes sense if Hark Pro runs most of your personal admin.

Run it on the free plan for at least two weeks before you pay.

Before launch, Brett Adcock posted that the first 100,000 sign-ups would get a paid plan free, though reports do not agree on the tier or how long it lasts.

So check your account before you upgrade.

The terms I read, turned into Agent OS rules

This is the part of my Hark Pro review that cost it the fifth star.

What Hark's pages sayThe Agent OS rule I would set
A transaction is authorised once you confirm it.Keep the human on the final click for every booking and payment.
You can give standing permission for a category of transactions.Grant none until Hark Pro has finished several jobs correctly.
Hark is not the merchant of record for most purchases.Expect refunds to go through the shop or your card issuer.
For US users, liability is capped at the greater of 12 months of fees or $100.Never let it handle anything you could not afford to lose.
Your account will not be used to train AI models, and AI providers cannot train on your content.Personal admin is fine, but keep client data in tools you control anyway.
You must be at least 18.Do not set it up for younger family members.

The privacy side is reassuring, and the privacy policy also says Hark has not sold or shared personal data in the previous 12 months.

The liability cap is what keeps me cautious, because if something goes wrong your main protection is the merchant and your card issuer.

Hark's benchmark claims, read carefully

Hark's browser work is done by Handoff, which Hark describes as its own computer use agent with a full browser on a secure computer that is yours alone.

Hark says Handoff scored 97.7 on Online-Mind2Web, ahead of GPT-5.4 at 92.8 and Claude Opus 4.8 at 84.1.

Those are Hark's own numbers from its own setup, so I treat them as vendor claims.

VentureBeat also reported that on WebTailBench v2, Handoff scored 68.6 against 72.3 for GPT 5.5.

So Handoff is strong at browsing, but it does not win every test, and my score rests on what I watched it do.

Hark Pro vs OpenClaw and Hermes

In the video I called Hark Pro a very simple, easy-to-use version of something like OpenClaw, straight out of the box.

Who should use Hark Pro

A viewer asked whether, after Hermes, Muse, Dots, Grok, OpenBot and now Hark, the differences are big enough to set everything up from scratch again.

My answer is no for a working setup, because the smart move is to add Hark Pro to one lane and leave the rest alone.

Hark has also said it is working on its own hardware, and launch coverage points to 2027 for that.

For the bigger picture of how the lanes fit together, read the AI Agent OS guide, and for the Grok side of this comparison see the Grok Bot course.

FAQ

Is Hark Pro worth it?

Yes on the free plan, because every feature is included. I score it 4 out of 5 in my Hark Pro review, with points lost for no voice output, an undisclosed main model and approvals you must manage carefully.

How much does Hark Pro cost?

Hark's pricing page lists a free plan with every feature, Pro² at $20 a month for 2x more usage and Pro³ at $100 a month for 10x more usage.

Can Hark Pro replace my Agent OS?

No. It is excellent in the personal lane for bookings, bills, trips and your own inbox, but you cannot choose its model, so keep client work and content in the agents you control.

Is Hark Pro safe with my wallet?

Hark says it asks for approval before actions that need it, but its terms say a confirmed transaction is authorised and allow standing permissions. Keep confirmations on and add your wallet last.

Does Hark Pro use my data for training?

Hark's privacy policy says your account will not be used to train AI models, and its terms say its AI providers are not allowed to train on your content.

Final word on my Hark Pro review

Give it the personal lane, keep the human on every payment, and leave your Agent OS running the work.

That is how I would use it, and that is my honest Hark Pro review.
