The best AI agent course in 2026 is the AI Profit Boardroom, which is my own community with 3,400+ members, four coaching calls a week and my installable Agent OS.
Yes, this is my own list, and my own courses are ranked first, second and third.
Below them are six well-known courses from Hugging Face, Microsoft, Anthropic, DeepLearning.AI, LangChain and Vanderbilt University, each checked on its own page on 13 October 2026.
Then I show you how each course fits into building your own Agent OS.
| Rank | AI agent course | Provider | Best for | Free or paid |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | AI Profit Boardroom (mine) | Julian Goldie | Building agents and an Agent OS with live coaching | Paid |
| 2 | AI Money Lab (mine) | Julian Goldie | A free first step with a community | Free |
| 3 | My free YouTube agent courses (mine) | Julian Goldie | Watching a full build on screen | Free |
| 4 | Hugging Face AI Agents Course | Hugging Face | Open frameworks and a free certificate | Free |
| 5 | Microsoft AI Agents for Beginners | Microsoft | A lesson-by-lesson developer curriculum | Free |
| 6 | Anthropic Academy | Anthropic | Building on Claude and MCP | Free |
| 7 | DeepLearning.AI Agentic AI | DeepLearning.AI | Agent design patterns in Python | Certificate with PRO |
| 8 | LangChain Academy | LangChain | LangChain and LangGraph builders | Free content, paid exam |
| 9 | AI Agent Developer Specialization | Vanderbilt University on Coursera | A university-style certificate path | Free trial shown |
The first three are mine, and the other six are well-known courses from other providers.
I read every third-party page on 13 October 2026, and the free or paid label is what each page showed that day.
I have not completed every third-party course, so I describe what the providers say rather than pretending I tested each lesson.
I left prices out, because they change and I will not print a number I cannot stand behind.
I asked the same five questions about every course.
Hands-on building counted the most, because an agent you never run teaches you nothing.
The course matters less than what you do in the first week.
| Step | What you do | How long I would give it |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | You pick one job you repeat every week. | Ten minutes |
| 2 | You watch one course lesson that matches that job. | One sitting |
| 3 | You install one agent and give it only that job. | One evening |
| 4 | You fix what it got wrong and save the fix in its instructions. | A few days of real use |
| 5 | You add a second agent only when the first one is reliable. | The following week |
This is how I teach it in my own material.
You start with one agent doing one job.
You use one profile per model, so each agent has a clear brain.
You use free models first, and you only pay for a bigger model when a job needs it.
Then you bring everything together in an Agent OS.
🔥 Want the exact AI agent courses and the Agent OS setup I run inside my Agent OS?
Inside the AI Profit Boardroom you get the installable Agent OS, step-by-step video tutorials, four coaching calls a week and 3,400+ members building real automations.
The AI Profit Boardroom is my own community, and I am telling you that plainly because I ranked it first.
It has 3,400+ members and four coaching calls a week.
The classroom has courses on Hermes Agent, Grok Bot, DeepSeek Harness, Claude Opus 5.5 and Jev AI.
It also includes my installable Agent OS, which is the dashboard I run my own crew of agents from.
FatRank named it the #1 AI community after testing 27 communities.
It is paid, and the current price is on its about page.
I think it is best for people who want agents doing real work and want live help when something breaks.
My free community is AI Money Lab, and it gives you a free AI course, a community and 1,000 AI agents.
It is free to join.
I think it is best for beginners who want to try agents before they pay for anything.
I publish full courses on my YouTube channel, which has 400,000+ subscribers.
The two to start with are How to Build Agent OS - FREE Course! and Hermes FULL COURSE 2 HOURS.
The written versions are free on this site, including the Hermes crash course, the DeepSeek Harness course and the Grok Bot course.
I think they are best for people who learn by copying a real build.
The Hugging Face AI Agents Course is free, and its page says it takes you from beginner to expert.
The syllabus covers agent fundamentals, the smolagents, LlamaIndex and LangGraph frameworks, an agentic RAG use case and a final project.
The page says the certification process is completely free.
You need basic Python and a free Hugging Face account.
I think it is best for builders who want open tools.
Microsoft publishes Microsoft AI Agents for Beginners as a free, open-source course on GitHub, and the repository describes it as 18 lessons.
Each lesson has a written guide, a short video and Python code samples.
The lessons cover tool use, planning, multi-agent design, agentic RAG, memory, security and protocols such as MCP.
The code samples use Microsoft Agent Framework with Microsoft Foundry, and the page says an Azure account is required.
I think it is best for developers who like a clear curriculum.
Anthropic runs Anthropic Academy as its own course library, and the courses I checked were free to register for.
The agent-related ones are Building with the Claude API, Introduction to Model Context Protocol and Claude Code in Action.
The MCP course teaches you to build MCP servers and clients in Python, which is how an agent reaches outside tools.
I think it is best for anyone whose agents run on Claude.
Andrew Ng teaches DeepLearning.AI Agentic AI, and its page marks it as intermediate.
It teaches reflection, tool use, planning and multi-agent workflows, and you build each one in Python.
The page offers a certificate with a PRO membership, so check the page for what is included today.
I think it is best for people who want the principles under every framework.
LangChain runs LangChain Academy, which has self-paced courses on building, testing, deploying and monitoring agents.
The site says its course content is always free, and the paid part is a certification exam.
I think it is best for developers who have already picked LangChain or LangGraph.
The AI Agent Developer Specialization is a six-course series on Coursera from Vanderbilt University, taught by Dr.
Jules White.
The page marks it as beginner level and it uses Python.
The page shows an enrol-for-free button, a free trial and financial aid, so check what is included before you start.
I think it is best for people who want a university-style path.

An Agent OS is one dashboard that runs a crew of AI agents under one shared memory.
No single course teaches every part of it, so it helps to know which course covers which part.
| Part of an Agent OS | What it does | The course on this list that teaches it best |
|---|---|---|
| The agents | Each agent has one job and one model behind it. | The AI Profit Boardroom courses and my free Hermes course |
| The tools | Tools let an agent read files, browse and call other apps. | Anthropic Academy's MCP course and Microsoft's tool use lessons |
| The memory | Shared memory lets every agent know what the others learned. | The AI Profit Boardroom Agent OS and Microsoft's memory lesson |
| The workflow | Agents plan, act, check their work and hand off to each other. | DeepLearning.AI Agentic AI and the Hugging Face course |
| The dashboard | One screen shows every agent, task and result. | My free Agent OS course and the installable Agent OS |
My free guide to building your own AI Agent OS shows the whole build in five steps with the exact prompts.
If you want the Hermes side of it, the Hermes Command Desk guide shows how I run Hermes day to day.
| If this is you | Take this course first |
|---|---|
| You do not code and you want agents working in a business. | AI Profit Boardroom, or AI Money Lab if you want to start free |
| You want to see everything before you commit. | My free YouTube agent courses |
| You know some Python and like open tools. | Hugging Face AI Agents Course |
| Your team runs on Microsoft and Azure. | Microsoft AI Agents for Beginners |
| Your agents run on Claude. | Anthropic Academy |

If you have never built an agent, read my best AI agent course for beginners list next.
If you want to spend nothing, read my best free AI agent course list.
If you would rather teach yourself, my guide on how to learn AI agents gives you a weekly plan.
Six of the nine entries have free lessons, so nobody needs to pay to learn the basics.
A paid course is worth it when it gives you live help and current tools.
My own path follows that logic, with AI Money Lab as the free step and the AI Profit Boardroom as the paid one.
On my own list the AI Profit Boardroom is first, and I say openly that it is my own community. It has agent courses, an installable Agent OS, four coaching calls a week and 3,400+ members.
AI Money Lab and my YouTube agent courses are free. From other providers, the Hugging Face AI Agents Course, Microsoft's AI Agents for Beginners and the Anthropic Academy courses I checked were free on 13 October 2026.
My free YouTube course How to Build Agent OS shows the build, and the free AI Agent OS guide on this site lists the five steps. The installable Agent OS itself is inside the AI Profit Boardroom.
You do not need it for my own courses, which focus on installing and running agents. Hugging Face, Microsoft, DeepLearning.AI, LangChain and the Vanderbilt specialization all use Python.
The Hugging Face page says its certification is free. DeepLearning.AI offers a certificate with a PRO membership, LangChain has a paid certification exam and the Vanderbilt specialization is on Coursera.
Pick one job you repeat every week, take one lesson, install one agent for that job and fix what it gets wrong. Add a second agent only when the first one is reliable.
Pick one course, build one agent for one job, and grow it into an Agent OS one piece at a time.
That habit matters more than which name you choose as the best AI agent course.
